Since 2002, the Verdigre Public School Foundation, a non-profit corporation, has accepted tax-deductible donations for the purpose of educational enhancement. Board members are appointed by publicly elected officials (i.e. school board) and serve without pay.
To name a few achievements thus far, the Verdigre Public School Foundation has funded oak library shelving for the K-12 library, two office computers, pedestals for the historic school bells, a flag pole, scholarships for graduating seniors and student leadership training, marching band drum equipment, a digital piano, weight-lifting equipment, a wrestling mat, art program enrichments, early debt retirement, drama spotlights, new student desks and the Foundation also assisted with the purchase of new band uniforms and Verdigre’s first-ever choir robes.
